Are you annoyed by the default home page on Internet browsers? I’ve wanted to mention this tip for some time, but the subject was off-topic for other posts. You can enter a simple URL – Uniform (or universal) resource locator, the address of a World Wide Web page – that creates a blank or empty page. Simply enter “about:blank” in the URL field and hit enter. This will bring up a blank page – refer to screen shots below.
My Default Home Page in Firefox
Enter about:blank into the URL field and hit <enter>
The resulting blank home page
This works for Firefox, Internet Explorer, Safari (Apple), and Chrome (Google). Much cleaner look and you can set this as a permanent home page, if desired.
