Work at Home Job – eJury – Updated

Homepreneurs often posts leads to work from home jobs but we can’t always verify whether these are legitimate.  Recently, we posted a lead for virtual jurors or eJuries. Homepreneurs signed up for this option to see if we’d be asked to serve on an eJury.

* 10-17-12 update:

Here is proof of payment:

Just thought you’d like to know eJury, L.L.C. sent you $6.00 USD.

Note from eJury, L.L.C.:

Thank you for your participation in Case No. 0818. We value your opinion and hope you enjoyed the experience.
Case No. 0818

This was my second payment in a week.  Not much, but every bit helps.

I’m pleased to say Homepreneurs received a notification yesterday asking for us to serve on a virtual jury, read a case, and render a verdict.  While not one of the 50 selected to serve, we believe this is a legitimate work from home job.  And today – 10-8-12 – I was called again, served this time, and I’ll get paid for my time!  See below for details of in the email:

Dear Cook County eJuror:A new eJury case entitled “RXXXXXXXX, et al v. Community Hospital” has been posted to your eDocket page on this Thursday afternoon.  This is a medical negligence case and you are invited to participate.
This may be the first eJury invitation for some of you, so let me offer some brief instruction. To begin, go to http://www.ejury.comand click on the Juror’s login link. There is a “Forgot your Password” link for anyone who needs a reminder, or feel free to email me directly.  If it’s been quite some time since you signed-up, you may be prompted to update your profile.Once logged in, the rest should be self-explanatory.  The one piece of advice I will offer is this…there is no such thing as a “wrong answer.”  The attorneys are just looking for your personal opinions and feedback. The more feedback you can provide, the better.This case will automatically conclude once 50 verdicts have been entered, which usually takes about 2 or 3 days.
Good luck!

  1. First off I want to say excellent blog! I had a quick question in which
    I’d like to ask if you do not mind. I was interested to find out how you center yourself and clear your mind before writing. I have had a hard time clearing my thoughts in getting my ideas out. I do enjoy writing but it just seems like the first 10 to 15 minutes are usually wasted just trying to figure out how to begin. Any suggestions or hints? Many thanks!

      Thanks! I use writing as my escape from life. I think classical music playing can help and so meditation to clear the mind. Plus, I remember why I started this project and who – the reader – I’m helping. These things help me.

      Thanks for reading and best to you! -DS

      Any other reader thoughts on the question?
